On January 1, 2008 the following new rules go into effect regarding the post kitchen. We apologize for any inconvenience these rules may cause, but in order for us to maintain commercial kitchen status, these rules must be followed. Also we would like to thank those volunteers who made and donated soup for hamburger night. Under the new rules we cannot accept food for any public event that is not made in our kitchen. We plan to continue to keep soup on the menu but it will have to be made in our kitchen.
1. The Kitchen door leading outside is to be locked at all times.
2. The Kitchen is now off limits to all non-authorized personnel.
3. Food Service out of the kitchen is restricted to food for sale events only.
4. The kitchen can be used to service a buffet for non-sale food events. Any overnight storage of food must be placed in an appropriate container and put in the small glass door refrigerator or the back bar refrigerator. The period of storage without prior arrangement is 24 hours.
5. Authorized personnel are those who receive wages from the VFW, kitchen supervisor, volunteer cooks, servers and chairpersons for events sanctioned by the VFW Post 671 and its auxiliaries.
